Unresponsive and not breathing
- Check breathing by tilting their head backwards and appearing and feeling for breaths.
- Call 911 without delay.

Choking

- Cool the burn under cold, flowing water for not less than Ten minutes.
- Loosely cover the burn with cling film or a clean plastic bag.
- Call 911, just to make sure.
Broken bone
- Have anyone retain the injury in reference to his or her hand, or use a cushion or waste clothing to circumvent unnecessary movement.
- Call 911, without delay.
- Continue supporting the injury until help arrives.
